DESCRIPTION

At Amazon, we are excited to offer MBA candidates the opportunity to launch into big careers with limitless possibilities. We know searching for an internship or a full-time role is as much about finding a company where you can picture yourself being successful as it is about finding the right role.

Amazon’s Strategic Business Development (SBD) team within Amazon Ads drives strategic initiatives across our advertising business and leads our most complex and high-impact business development opportunities that will guide our next phase of growth. We navigate complex partnership landscapes, manage relationships with partners who can unlock new capabilities, and orchestrate cross-functional initiatives that have long-term, company-wide implications. The Strategic AdsBD team is trustworthy, adaptable, and focused on enabling high-judgment decision-making and delivering results.

As a Strategic AdsBD Intern, your work involves regular interaction with leaders across Amazon Ads and collaboration with other business units including Amazon Stores and AWS to influence highly strategic initiatives that create value for the advertising business through strategic partnerships. Your contributions help to manage relationships and negotiations for strategic partnership deals which are first-of-their-kind in nature, need a centralized advocate, and/or have broad implications for Amazon’s advertising business. We often work with major media and technology companies, such as Meta, Netflix, Google, Roku, as well as high-growth start-ups to identify new partnership opportunities. Internal engagement with management teams is critical to weighing relative advantages and risks, deeply understanding our advertising products and roadmaps, and building a point of view on customer and innovation trends.

An Amazon MBA summer internship is 12 weeks, consisting of a strategic project that is data intensive, analytical, centered on a real business issue, and representative of the full-time role. The Strategic AdsBD intern will have ownership of a high-profile project, where they will partner with key business groups and clients, analyze unique business ideas, make data driven decisions, and provide input to drive meaningful change. The intern will have exposure to upper-level management (including Vice Presidents and Directors) and the opportunity to apply general business, product and financial analysis skills to support successful execution of partnership strategies and deals. We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic thinker who is passionate about Amazon and the future of advertising technology, enjoys solving complex problems amidst ambiguity, earns trust with cross-functional teams, and operates entrepreneurially in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving while proactively seeking out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives of Amazon's advertising businesses.
