Summary of the Role:

The Account Manager, NBA Travel will provide day-to-day operations support to our NBA clients. The Account Manager, NBA Travel is an effective communicator with a clear focus on performing for our current clients, reporting directly to the VP, NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of full-season logistics as it applies to NBA teams/hotels. This person will be responsible for client onboarding, sourcing, contracting, overseeing day-to-day operations, filling Individual Travel requests in a timely manner, and finance & analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with the team travel secretary in the development of a detailed team resume prior to the start of contracting hotels for the upcoming season.
  • Upon schedule release, block potential hotels for the upcoming season, overlapping check-in and check-out dates to accommodate different scenarios.
  • Negotiate contracts with hotels, achieving the best rate and most conducive concessions based on team preferences.
  • Review all contracts with the VP, NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships for accuracy prior to submitting to the team for review, approval, and signature.
  • Work with the team on day-to-day operational needs.
  • Review all arrangements via Zoom call with Hotel CSM 72 hours prior to arrival to ensure a successful team stay.
  • Follow up with the team and hotel on any feedback or challenges encountered during the stay.
  • Actively source new opportunities within the NBA Teams and other professional sports teams, to grow the PIVOT portfolio.
  • Manage/oversee NBA Team Accounts at the direction of the VP, NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships.
  • Create and distribute emails both internally and externally to clients.
  • Support our clients with individual travel requests.
  • Work within Salesforce to build/manage accounts, contacts, prospects, etc.
  • Some travel may be required for this role.

  • Ability to meet and exceed individual and department revenue goals on behalf of our NBA travel clients.
  • Ability to effectively manage the daily travel needs of PIVOT Clients.
