About the position

In this data-focused software developer position, will work with business and technical teams to understand the needs, processes, existing application portfolio, and existing data to deliver large-scale data solutions that enable business innovation and operational efficiencies. Responsible for performing the data analysis and profiling necessary to provide direction, standards, and implementation of data management solutions associated with data ingestion, transformation, integration, and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in full stack Microsoft BI development activities to deploy usable and measurable projects.
  • Meet business needs leveraging tools such as SSIS, SSAS, stored procedures, Power BI, Power Platform alongside Microsoft Cloud computing tools such as Azure.
  • Write complex Stored procedures to harmonize data sets for reporting.
  • Setup dimensional/tabular data models.
  • Setup and deploy row/object level security.
  • Develop and publish Power BI reports.
  • Provide input and implement solutions to drive the continuous improvement of the development and support teams.
  • Participate in data integration, business intelligence (BI), and enterprise information management programs by rationalizing data processing to support reuse.
  • Ensure that critical information assets modeled as part of any project are represented in the enterprise information architecture (EIA) and follow the design guidelines and requirements of EIA.
  • Design, build, and deploy tools and systems to enhance data storage efficiency, support marketing strategies, and optimize data processing pipelines.
  • Architect machine learning/AI workflows that help enhance high-leverage decisions making with Big Data across the business.
  • Ingest data from various systems and transforming, cleaning, and enriching data, and Integrate them into a unified platform to enable comprehensive analysis and visualization.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks and tool priorities to accelerate R D.
  • Demonstrate software best practices among BI/Analytics staff and support the continuity and maintainability of multi-stakeholder repositories.
  • Support existing solution applications and work on projects to develop new technical solutions, utilizing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Design, develop, and implement full-stack software solutions using Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C#, Web API, Azure, SQL Server, and other tools.
  • Work with other developers, create and manage project plans and estimates, and maintain documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Data Science, IT or a closely related field.
  • Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Python, PySpark, C#, JavaScript, and HTML for data processing, automation, and web-based applications.
  • Experience developing and integrating applications using frameworks and containerization tools including Django and Docker to build and deploy scalable web applications.
  • Experience designing and managing ETL pipelines, transforming raw data into structured datasets and managing the data across SQL databases and cloud-based environments.
  • Experience utilizing API integrations and implementing automated web scraping solutions to extract and structure public data for analytics and reporting.
  • Experience performing data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for machine learning and analytics.
  • Experience developing and deploying predictive models and applying statistical modeling, big data processing, and machine learning to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience designing and developing interactive dashboards using Power BI, HTML and CSS and mapping spatial data using QGIS/ArcGIS.
