We have an excellent career opportunity for an Associate, Official Institutions in our New York office. The individual will join as part of the Official Institutions team and will have a variety of client servicing and business development responsibilities. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all client expectations are met by way of supporting proactive communication, responding to and actioning inquiries, determining when appropriate to escalate issues internally and coordinating among multiple groups across the organization, including, Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Client Relationship Manager as a key point of contact for the Official Institution client base.
  • Ensure that client needs, both simple and complex are met in a timely and professional manner by either personally handling or coordinating with various stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Provide support in client servicing responsibilities including organizing client meetings, overseeing the preparation of meeting materials, preparing meeting notes and uploading client correspondence into Salesforce and internal trackers.
  • Lead various projects related to client service such as client onboarding, account closures and account life cycle events to ensure compliance with firm procedures.
  • Maintain team client ‘to do' list to ensure that all client requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with ad hoc client prospect queries, follow up, including gathering information from other business areas (such as Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, Operations, RFP team), and contribute to the sales process by help overseeing preparation of prospect presentations.
  • Contribute to the RFP process ensuring timely review and high-quality submissions.
  • Contribute to the sales process by gathering relevant product information, assisting with the preparation of meeting materials, conducting research, gathering news and competitor analysis.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of data quality and ensure the correct entry of information in various systems (i.e. Salesforce).
  • Opportunity to drive ESG communications to relevant clients and champion the topic in client meetings and new business proposals and pitches.
  • Provide support in the preparation and hosting of client meetings and training seminars.
  • Seek opportunities to standardize processes to ensure efficient work flows.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years of experience with an asset management firm with solid knowledge of investment management industry (fixed income strongly preferred).
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline coupled with excellent academic credentials.
  • Good understanding of investments, benchmarks and investment guidelines.
  • Experience in servicing clients.
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
