Modivcare is looking for an experienced Authorizations Lead to join our team. This role is responsible for obtaining and processing authorizations from third-party and government payers while serving as a primary liaison to ensure a positive client service experience. It ensures the integrity and accuracy of authorization documentation and coordinates resolution efforts across various teams. The Authorizations Lead also develops and distributes routine reports, leads logistical problem-solving, and upholds confidentiality standards.

This role is remote, but the associate will be asked to hold Eastern time hours.

This role…

  • Engages with clients to secure timely authorizations.

  • Oversees the entry and validation of all authorization forms, ensuring high-quality data integrity.

  • Coordinates resolution of service issues by communicating across teams and leadership levels.

  • Designs, generates, and distributes standard reports on authorization status and financial implications for relevant leadership groups.

  • Leads resolution of logistical or clerical issues related to patient records, authorizations, or billing.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all client information.

  • Demonstrates professionalism in all interactions and communications.

  • Reads and comprehends posted notices, communications, and policies.

  • May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.

We are interested in speaking with individuals with the following…

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Four (4) plus years of customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Knowledge of insurance payer reimbursement practices in New York.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to maintain productivity.

  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

  • Proven success working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.

Salary: $21.64 - $27.00/hr
