<p style="margin-left:0in;">This role can sit anywhere in the United States, while local to one of our Chubb branch locations.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"> </p><p style="margin-left:0in;">As an integral member of the Small Business Portfolio Management Domain, the AVP, Portfolio Management will be responsible for driving the Small Business Division’s commercial P&C underwriting profitability, growth and digital transformation objectives. This role will collaborate closely with actuarial, product, analytics, and business intelligence colleagues to advance real time underwriting and portfolio monitoring capabilities that enable profitable digital underwriting. This individual will have direct P&L performance responsibility by way of influencing ratemaking and implementing non-rate pricing strategies. Critical proficiencies will span portfolio / product management, data analytics, strategy, complex problem solving, leadership and communication.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"> </p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>P&L owner for a portfolio of small business products across various digital distribution channels and geographies</li><li>Oversee strategic initiatives to advance portfolio management capabilities across pricing, underwriting, and monitoring through advanced data analytics</li><li>Ensure impacts of initiatives are communicated consistently across the organization and to external partners</li><li>Oversee execution of digital transformation initiatives under an Agile, dynamic operating model</li><li>Lead cross-functional teams of subject matter experts (i.e. data science, engineering, AI/ML, actuarial, product, technology) toward underwriting and portfolio management objectives</li><li>Collaborate closely with actuarial and distribution function to build granular monitoring dimensions (i.e. geographic, exposure, coverage levels, etc.)</li><li>Continuously monitor the health and performance of the portfolio across key dimensions, and oversee execution of underwriting action (both offensive and defensive)</li><li>Develop and design data visualizations to effectively communicate complex data sets and insights to stakeholders</li><li>Support the development of predictive models and machine learning models around profitability, profile trending, exposure level analysis and competitive position</li><li>Work closely with product engineering and platform teams to implement process improvements enabling speed, control, and targeted actions which support growth and profitability</li></ul> <br><div> Chubb is a world leader in insurance.
