About the position

The Brand Merchandising Lead, Textiles, RL Home will serve as a strategic leader at the intersection of magic and logic, driving Ralph Lauren's global Home Textiles business across bedding, bath, decorative accessories, and textile licensing partnerships. This pivotal role combines creative vision with commercial excellence to lead end-to-end assortment planning from category strategy through product execution. Working as part of the Global Brand Merchandising team, this leader acts as the central hub for go-to-market strategies, providing direction to design and regional buying teams through data-driven line plans and competitive analysis. The role demands a deep understanding of market trends and historical performance to identify opportunities that drive market share growth through both owned and licensed business models. Success in this position requires balancing business objectives with brand heritage while fostering cross-functional partnerships to create total home environment that embody Ralph Lauren's distinctive lifestyle vision.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Partner with Head of Merchandising to develop and execute global textile category strategies aligned with RL's brand vision and financial targets
  • Lead end-to-end seasonal line planning and SKU strategies across regions, ensuring optimal assortment architecture and business performance
  • Drive category profitability through strategic pricing and margin optimization
  • Lead Seasonal OK to BUY process and partnering on financial target setting across regions
  • Direct competitive analysis and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions
  • Conduct comprehensive business performance reviews analyzing KPIs across owned and licensed businesses
  • Partner with Marketing and Creative Services on market campaigns and presentations
  • Build and lead high-performing global merchandising teams while fostering innovation
  • Licensing & Partnership Management: Oversee textile licensing partnerships, including growth strategy, contract negotiations, and compliance
  • Drive licensee performance through business reviews and relationship management

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Merchandising experience in Home Textiles
  • Proven track record in category strategy and business growth
  • Experience managing licensed businesses and partner relationships
  • Advanced retail mathematics and financial analysis skills
  • Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management
  • Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skill
