Job Summary: 

  • The Power Billing Senior Specialist position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of a fast-paced and growing power business providing complete, timely and accurate invoices to customers.
  • The Senior Specialist has a direct impact on customer experience and actively works to resolve billing related issues, audits invoice details and interacts with various internal groups to ensure customer billing satisfaction and accurate revenue recognition.
  • The Senior Specialist will have an expanded knowledge of power billing and perform more complex calculations and special billing requests.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review and resolve daily exceptions identified through a variety of means including but not limited to reports, internal communications and customer inquiries.
  • Responsible for timely resolution of audit exceptions to provide complete, timely, and accurate customer invoices.
  • Accountable for offline bill models, maintaining monthly indexes and COGs mapping.
  • Remediate customer issues in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Successfully execute and/or adhere to Key Controls in accordance with risk compliance documentation.
  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements and efficiencies to improve timeliness, accuracy and completeness in customer billing.
  • Participate in projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment or fully remote work options available.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • 0% Travel expected.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or 4 years of commensurate experience in the field or in a related area.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of energy industry experience, preferred.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Analytical, mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates expertise in using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, facilitate corrections.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.

The base salary range for this position is: $49,040 - $80,880. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
