Job Description
Mercy Centre is a program of Catholic Charities located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Founded by the Sisters of Mercy and Catholic Charities in the 1960s, the program serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages eighteen and over, in four different programs from the Worcester County extended area.
The Adult Services programs have been in existence for about sixty years.
We are seeking a Employment/CBDS Job Coach to join our team!
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for job coaching, providing quality care, supporting independence and services for individuals in the program.
Responsible for planning and implementing instructional activities in the facility and in the community.
- Provide instruction, guidance, supervision, documentation and exemplary role modeling in the Employment/CBDS program.
Knowledge/Experience:
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
* One to two years’ experience in human services or related field, preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
* Adult CPR and First aid.
Must obtain within three months of hire and renew annually thereafter and maintain throughout employment.
* Must submit to a Criminal Offenders Record Information (CORI) request, a Sexual Offender Registry Information (SORI) request, a clear OIG (Office of Inspector General) check and clear fingerprinting check, which shows no offenses and maintain throughout employment
* Must complete a TB Risk Assessment, prior to hire and maintain throughout employment
* Must possess a valid driver’s license for the State of Massachusetts and maintain throughout employment.
Must possess and maintain vehicle registration and appropriate insurance coverage throughout employment.
