About the position

The Clinical Coordinator, Medical Assistant (MA) position will report to the Supervisor/ Manager for Clinical Coordination and will support Inspira's mission, vision, and values with every patient. The Clinical Coordinator, MA is responsible for performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties and must be able to work hybrid at home and in office. The Clinical Coordinator, MA will maintain a highly proficient status on Electronic Medical Record system. The job duties include but are not limited to Medication Proposals for IMG Practices, Prior Authorizations, Healthcare Concierge webforms and follow up calls, completion of standing orders for care gap closure, lab and test result delivery, annual wellness intakes, chart reviews and prep for upcoming appointments, records requests from other organizations, appointment scheduling, as well was supporting and elevating the patient's overall health concerns. Clinical Coordinator, MA will work on varies tasks assigned by leadership that can lead to the improvement of quality care for IMG primary care patients, including quality and chronic care issues. The Clinical Coordinator, MA may be assigned to more than one office. This role is for a motivated, self-directed MA with strong customer service, computer, and active listening skills to work with patients in a hybrid environment ensuring they receive accurate, timely, quality care.

Requirements

  • Medical assistant diploma and certification (CMA) from an accredited vocational institution or a community college required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 12 months’ Medical Practice experience required.
  • At least 12 months’ experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • Active AHA Healthcare provider required.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel to different practices as needed.
