The Adjuster is also responsible for, but not limited to: </p><p></p><ul><li>Investigating losses (BI/UM/UIM primarily) from office, utilizing Independent Adjusters and other internal/external resources</li><li>identifying coverage issues and completing coverage analysis</li><li>Evaluation and valuation of injuries/damages</li><li>Experience handling moderate to severe injury claims involving allegations of soft-tissue injuries, bone/cartilage fractures, disc herniations, joint dislocation, short-term hospitalizations and out-patient surgeries</li><li>Handing attorney represented claimants (litigation claim-handling experience a plus)</li><li>Experience analyzing and responding to Time Limited Policy Demands</li><li>Experience working with experts in multiple disciplines, including: <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">physicians/therapists,</span> attorneys, accountants, medical billing audit firms, accident reconstructionists, biomechanical engineers, forensic accountants</li><li>Maintain claim files per established best claim practice guidelines</li><li>Obtain and maintain all required state licenses</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p></p><p>We are seeking candidates with the following:</p><p></p><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong organizational and computer skills</li><li>Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize</li><li>Ability to switch focus at a moment’s notice</li><li>Ability to multi-task when needed</li><li>Self-motivator: works independently with minimal to moderate supervision</li><li>Past 3+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims</li><li><b>Bachelor’s degree required</b> (insurance industry designation a plus)</li><li>Possessing strong ability to understand and review policy documentation</li><li>Ability to formulate solid action plans to resolve claims</li><li>Ability to effectively present files in front of groups</li><li>Ability to travel for company / claim related events if needed</li></ul><p></p><p><b>About Us</b></p><p></p><p>biBerk is where commercial insurance buyers can obtain coverage for their businesses from insurers of the Berkshire Hathaway group of Insurance Companies, one of the best capitalized insurance groups in the world.
