Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate user-generated content (text, images, video) in accordance with company policies, community guidelines, and legal standards.
  • Make timely and accurate decisions on content, applying appropriate moderation actions such as approval, rejection, or escalation.
  • Identify and analyze trends in content violations and provide feedback to improve moderation policies and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy, legal, and product development, to address emerging content challenges.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in content review while meeting performance targets.
  • Document and report complex or sensitive moderation cases for further review.
  • Stay informed on current events, cultural sensitivities, and platform trends that may impact content moderation.
  • Participate in training and calibration sessions to ensure consistent application of moderation guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in content moderation, trust and safety, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to make quick, accurate, and consistent judgments on complex content issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of empathy and emotional intelligence to handle sensitive content.
  • Proficiency in using content moderation tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of online community guidelines and user safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Experience with policy enforcement in a social media, gaming, or e-commerce context.
  • Familiarity with local laws and cultural nuances specific to the APAC region.
  • Proficiency in additional regional languages (e.g., Malay, Mandarin, Tamil) is a plus.
