Apply now <strong>Job no:</strong> 506257<br><br><strong>Work type:</strong> Part-Time<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Salus Campus - Elkins Park<br><br><strong>Categories:</strong> Drexel University, Office of the President<br><br><strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>The Custodial Technician is responsible for the cleaning of buildings, exam rooms, cafeteria, offices, classroom and grounds of college properties, whether owned or leased.<br><br>The schedule will be from M-F 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Performs such custodial duties as cleaning windows, ceilings, overhead pipes, floors, restrooms, etc. using a variety of cleaning equipment including brushes, brooms, dry and wet mops, floor polishers, vacuums, carpet cleaning machines and other similar equipment.</li><li>Lifts and moves equipment, materials and furniture such as desks and file cabinets within the same location or from one campus location to another, as required.</li><li>Performs outside campus work assignments such as trash removal, leaf removal, snow removal, etc., as required.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED.</li><li>Minimum of three years' general building cleaning and minimum one year of carpet and floor care experience.</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as carpet cleaners, polishers, scrubbers, etc.</li><li>Knowledge of cleaning solutions and their proper use.</li><li>Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, or another elevated lifting platform device.</li><li>Ability to lift and move equipment, materials, and furniture of up to 80 lbs.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be able to follow directions.</li><li>Ability to work independently.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Demands<br><br></strong><ul><li>Typically standing, walking</li><li>Typically bending, crouching, stooping</li><li>Lifting demands > 50lbs<br><br></li></ul><strong>Location<br><br></strong><ul><li>Salus Campus - Elkins Park<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong>This is a Part-Time Union position classified as Non-Exempt.
