Main Purpose of Job

The CSA (Welcome Host) is responsible for delivering a warm, friendly, and professional greeting to all members and visitors at Aberdeen Sports Village (ASV). This role is key in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring every guest has a positive first impression and experience at the facility.

As the first point of contact, the Welcome Host will provide general guidance and assistance, helping guests navigate the facility while upholding excellent customer service standards.

Job Description Main Duties

Key Work Areas:

Providing a Friendly and Welcoming Experience

  • Greet all visitors and members with a warm and professional welcome upon arrival.
  • Ensure that all members and visitors feel comfortable and well-informed upon arrival.
  • Assist users with general enquiries about the facility, classes, and sessions.
  • Offer directions and guidance to different areas of the facility.
  • Ensure the reception and entrance areas are tidy, presentable, and welcoming.

Customer Support and Assistance

  • Assist members and visitors with check-in and access procedures.
  • Ensure that all users have the appropriate membership or access level before entering the facility.
  • Provide friendly and efficient assistance to individuals with additional support needs.
  • Liaise with operational staff to ensure a smooth flow of visitors during peak times.
  • Address any minor customer concerns and escalate issues to the relevant team when necessary.
  • Ensure that the retail and equipment offering is fully stocked

Maintaining a Safe and Organised Environment

  • Ensure that all members and visitors are aware of and adhere to facility rules.
  • Monitor the reception and entrance areas to prevent overcrowding or access issues.
  • Assist with lost property and general visitor enquiries.
  • Support the team in maintaining health and safety standards within the entrance and common areas.
  • React quickly and effectively to all alarm calls
  • Provide assistance to the operations team during any large emergency
  • Assist as the role of ‘incident commander’ during a fire evacuation
