Looking for a few dedicated hard-working deckhands for our 2026 Summer season. We are a sport fishing lodge in Alaska that caters to high-end guests. You will tote their luggage to their rooms, meet and greet them on the boat, and cater to their fishing needs. You and your Captain are responsible to a pristine boat at all times. You will ready rods, bait hooks, assist with bringing the catches aboard, document catch limits per guest and work in harmony with your Charter Boat Captain.

You must have clear knowledge about fishing and catching, previous charter boat work is a plus!

Be respectful of the Deckhand Team Leader. We require all the necessary drug testing and qualifications to keep our guests and crews safe. Safety in this position on and off board is first! You will hang, weigh, pose for pictures and filet fish upon return to the dock. You will share the responsibility for the cleanliness of the deckhand quarters and provide other duties as appropriate. We all assist in the unloading of the supply boat once a week. Heavy lifting is often necessary. All our team members must attend corporate orientation have a First Aid, CPR and AED training. You and your captain will share in the Boat tips.  The more you prove to the guests, they are the reason for us being here, the more you benefit from their appreciation. 

Duties include

  • fish filleting

  • boat cleaning

  • pre season projects at lodge painting, cleaning, construction work, and opening up the lodge various tasks jobs,

  • care and preparation of all fishing gear and daily fishing tackle

  • cutting bait

  • cleaning of dock and work areas

  • help with fish packing as needed

  • close down of lodge, and boats for the season.
