If you’re an organised and conscientious Supervisor with warehouse operation and admin experience and are ready to ditch the boring to be part of a thriving company with big plans for the future, this role might be what you’ve been looking for.

Each of our depots is supported by a Depot Supervisor, and one such opportunity has become available at our Northern Ireland (County Antrim) Depot. This is a full time position, which will see you working Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will live locally to the Depot in Crumlin and hold a full driving licence.

What's involved in the role of Depot Supervisor?

  • Co-ordinating the efficient running of the Depot, including day to day warehouse and admin duties
  • Ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and accurately
  • Regularly review and enhance warehouse procedures to optimise productivity and maintain high standards of operation
  • Implement effective inventory management practices to minimise stock discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels
  • Organise requests for colleagues holidays, ensuring you are there to cover, when required, in times of absence or team holidays
  • Step in to cover key roles and responsibilities during staff absences to maintain smooth operations
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of warehouse colleagues and provide ongoing supervision to ensure adherence to procedures
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are met within the warehouse
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety policies to create a safe working environment for all colleagues
  • Encourage a culture of safety awareness and compliance among colleagues. Maintain accurate Health and Safety records and promptly report any accidents or incidents
  • Plan and book vehicle inspections, services and MOTs: Schedule regular maintenance and inspections for warehouse vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Perform routine checks on vehicles to identify and address any potential issues
  • Act as the first point of contact for Head Office regarding depot-based issues (e.g., transport, facilities, stock, health and safety)

  • A trustworthy and friendly personality along with excellent people management skills
  • The ability to build relationships and provide top class customer service
  • Warehouse experience
  • Health & Safety procedure/policy knowledge/experience
  • Inventory management experience
  • Strong ability to manage own workload/time
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • As much of the experience listed above which you will have ideally gained from an operational/warehouse environment
