This position is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and education related to the Electronic Medical Imaging, Electronic Medical Record and Radiology Information System applications in the Imaging Department, serving as a liaison for the department. They work with the Imaging department management to assure its customers receive and are included in system upgrades and additions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day equipment operations
  • Serves as primary responder for basic troubleshooting
  • Analyzes, repairs or refers equipment problems
  • Monitors daily Enterprise Medical Imaging system performance
  • Collaborates with vendors to resolve problems
  • Works with other departments to resolve inter-department IS concerns
  • Manages system users, security and network
  • Keeps accurate necessary documentation of all regulatory and user management functions, including integrity of distribution and retrieval rules
  • Develops workflow templates for network and system components
  • Works to resolve or refer problems related to network connections, data transfer by monitoring and analyzing network infrastructure
  • Plans, coordinates and provides user training to department, physicians, and hospital
  • Monitors for quality control and systems performance
  • Identifies, investigates and prepares solutions to EMI/Excellian operations problems in clinical areas
  • Works closely with specialty leads to ensure timely and complete capture of digital imaging data
  • Develops and manages the EMI site quality assurance and equipment maintenance plan
  • Serves as point of contact for future Allina initiatives, upgrades, enhancements or downtimes in EMI system
  • Coordinates hardware and software upgrades with vendors
  • Integrates new imaging devices into EMI system
  • Contributes to strategic planning

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare and IT role
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to be on call for one week, every 8 weeks
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Nice-to-haves

  • Vocational or Technical Training Information Technology Degree
  • Registered Technologist Certification from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • 2+ years of project management experience in health care hospital setting
  • 2 + years of experience in Radiology
