DATTCO currently has a full-time 3rd shift Diesel Technician opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in New Britain, CT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
  • Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
  • Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
  • Makes road calls
  • Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
  • Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma, trade school or equivalent
  • 5+ years training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
  • Driver’s license and DOT medical card
  • Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license
  • Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications
  • Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks
