<p>Looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Operational Risk Oversight for Corporate Functions & Customer Relationship Management (CRM) at Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team responsible for overseeing and managing operational risks within our corporate functions and CRM areas. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks to ensure the safety and soundness of our organization. Develop and maintain an effective operational risk management framework for corporate functions and CRM areas, in line with industry best practices and company policies. Lead and manage a team of risk professionals to monitor, assess, and report on operational risks across the organization. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of vulnerability, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and control enhancement. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business leaders, and external partners. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to operational risk management, and ensure the organization's risk management practices are in compliance. Develop and implement risk management training and awareness programs for employees at all levels of the organization. Analyze and report on operational risk metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement. Collaborate with other risk management teams to ensure a holistic approach to risk management across the organization. Conduct regular reviews and updates of operational risk policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and risk appetite. Proactively identify and escalate emerging risks to senior management and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies. Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the organization. Act as a subject matter expert on operational risk management, providing guidance and support to other departments as needed.
