In this role, you will be an integral part of our efforts to drive demand for Lutron's Lighting Controls and collaborate closely with other members of the Specification team to boost business growth. Your primary responsibilities will include educating electrical engineers and other key stakeholders on the benefits of Lutron products and our world-class customer support services. As a Specification Salesperson, you will play a crucial role in promoting Lutron Systems, ensuring that our products are specified in various projects, and fostering strong relationships with industry professionals. Your expertise and dedication will help us maintain our reputation for excellence and innovation in the lighting controls industry. Responsibilities - Establish and nurture new business opportunities with electrical engineers, architects, and designers in the New York City market- Ensure project specifications are met through effective communication with team members, rep agents, dealers, and other key influencers- Close lighting controls and window systems projects by leveraging technical expertise and delivering exceptional customer service- Become a subject matter expert on Lutron products, providing installation advice and technical support to specification customers, end-users, and trade partners- Maintain accurate customer and project information using Salesforce CRM tools- Represent Lutron at industry trade organizations and networking events to enhance brand visibility and build professional networks Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree required- Minimum 5 years previous business experience required, 3 or more years Specification Sales experience preferred- Prior architectural, product, or lighting design experience preferred- Demonstrated ability to learn technical products, their benefits, and specify them- Must have the ability to collaborate with a team to close projectsStarting pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year plus bonus and profit sharing.
