What does this team do?


The Leadership Support Centre (LSC) within Business Support Services (BSS), CBS, plays a vital role in supporting our senior leadership team – Senior Directors, Associate Partners and Partnership across our UK business. Recently expanding to include Business Operational Services (BOS), the LSC provides fast-paced, high-impact business support, ensuring the seamless operation of our client-facing practice. We are a dynamic and collaborative team committed to excellence and continuous improvement.


We are seeking highly motivated and organised individuals to join our growing LSC team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the success of Deloitte's senior leadership, developing valuable skills and building a rewarding career. You will be responsible for providing a range of administrative and operational support, working both independently and as part of a team.


What skills and academic qualifications do I need?


  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and manage own workload to tight deadlines
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving - ability to 'think outside the box'
  • Diligent, conscientious and with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to draft own correspondence
  • Team Player
  • Qualifications required – Minimum of five GCSEs including at least a level 4 (C) in English Language and Maths.

To complete this apprenticeship, you will need to be based in Wales at least 51% of your working week and travel a minimum of 1 day a week to Cardiff & The Vale College and 1 day a week to the Deloitte office at Fusion Point (next door to the College). Here you will be studying towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.


What kind of work will I do?


Ideal candidates will be looking to start a career in Business Support Services or Executive Assistants that are looking for a new challenge.


Responsibilities of the role include:


  • Calendar management; scheduling client and senior stakeholder meetings
  • Client relationship; supporting meeting materials, coordinating schedules, organizing logistics and diary invites
  • Travel arrangements; arranging travel, PTA, visas and booking accommodation
  • Expense management
  • Out-of-Office alternative contact; supporting the movement of client emails during periods of absence and leave of Senior Directors
  • Building strong relationships with key client EAs
  • Establishing a rapport with clients, Partners, Directors, and staff
  • Cover during periods of holiday and sickness
  • Ad hoc projects/tasks for Senior Directors
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution

Joining on this programme, you will be joining alongside a large cohort of like-minded colleagues. You will have access to a comprehensive support and training programme designed to equip you with the skills and competence that will be invaluable to you if you wish to explore a career as an Executive Assistant. Alongside your induction plan, you will receive an allocated buddy to support you through your learning and development.


Where will I work?


At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
