Job Summary

Cigna is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Enrollment/Billing Representative (Premium Representative) to join our healthcare operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing member enrollments, managing premium billing activities, and ensuring timely resolution of billing-related inquiries. You will serve as a critical link between internal teams, members, and external partners, ensuring a seamless enrollment and billing experience that supports Cignas commitment to affordable, high-quality healthcare.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate member enrollment and premium billing records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Review, validate, and reconcile premium payments, adjustments, and refunds

  • Investigate and resolve enrollment and billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to premiums, invoices, eligibility, and account status

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Customer Service, Finance, and Eligibility to resolve complex issues

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal controls, and data privacy standards

  • Document actions taken and maintain clear audit trails for all transactions

  • Meet productivity, quality, and turnaround time standards while maintaining attention to detail

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of billing, enrollment, or financial operations processes

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in enrollment processing, billing operations, healthcare administration, or a related field

  • Prior experience in health insurance, managed care, or financial services is preferred

  • Experience working with billing systems, enrollment platforms, or ERP systems is an advantage

Working Hours

  • Full-time position

  • Standard business hours, Monday to Friday

  • May require flexibility during peak enrollment periods or month-end billing cycles
