Reporting to the Head of Community & Events, you'll be the operational backbone of our live programming-owning logistics, systems, vendor relationships, and post-event reporting.<br /> This is a fast moving, mission-driven role. The right candidate is resourceful, thrives in startup culture, and believes ideas deserve a stage.<br /> Candidates who include a brief cover letter sharing what they love about The Free Press-or what makes this community unique-will receive priority consideration.<br /> Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<br /> • Plan and execute events from start to finish, from venue and A/V to travel, seating, and run-of-show<br /> • Build and maintain solid vendor and venue relationships so The Free Press has a reliable bench for the future<br /> • Design thoughtful experiences for VIPs and sponsors-perks, signage, custom touches-while ensuring the event shines for every guest<br /> • Keep contact lists, vendor info, and event records organized and up to date in our CRM<br /> • Manage budgets, track expenses, and negotiate contracts<br /> • Produce post-event recap decks with photos, data, and lessons learned to improve programming and support sponsorships<br /> • Make real-time decisions on-site when plans change, keeping events running smoothly<br /> • Collaborate closely with editorial, partnerships, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and impact<br /> Basic Qualifications:<br /> • 5+ years of event or project management experience (media, culture, or nonprofit preferred)<br /> • Willingness to travel (10–20%)<br /> • Availability for evening and weekend work during events.<br /> • Demonstrated ability to run events end-to-end, from intimate salons to 1,000+ person gatherings<br /> Additional Qualifications:<br /> • Skilled in project management tools (Asana, Airtable, or similar)<br /> • Comfortable with ticketing platforms and CRM systems<br /> • Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience<br /> • Financial literacy: ability to manage budgets and weigh trade-o<br /> • You thrive in startup culture: fast-moving, resourceful, and unafraid of hard work<br /> • You're mission-driven: ideally already a Free Presser, or deeply aligned with our values<br /> • You love systems and organization-keeping lists, updating CRMs, building processes-but you also know when to pivot<br /> • You're cool under pressure and at ease in live-event unpredictability<br /> • You believe every detail matters-from the name card fonts to the guest experience<br /> Paramount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide.
