Urban Air Adventure Parks, the leading indoor adventure park and location-based entertainment company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our Albany, NY location. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our park by providing overall leadership, vision, and direction to our team, while maintaining a fun and safe culture for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

  • Hire, train, and mentor staff to develop their skills and provide exceptional customer service
  • Cultivate a team environment that promotes positivity, inclusivity, and accountability
  • Implement and execute staff training programs to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Lead and influence managerial staff through effective motivation and leveraging individual strengths
  • Maintain a strong community presence through partnerships with local organizations and businesses

Operations Management

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests and staff
  • Oversee all aspects of the operation, including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions, and property
  • Continuously improve operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to company standards
  • Provide direction to the management team and ensure staff members perform at a consistently high level
  • Promote positive employee relations and foster high staff morale

Financial Management

  • Capitalize on business opportunities in the market area by executing company marketing strategies
  • Maintain systems that ensure fiscal responsibility, including inventory control and labor budgeting
  • Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to drive revenue and control expenses
  • Meet or exceed annual budgets and financial goals

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed as a General Manager at Urban Air Adventure Parks, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in Facility Operations & Management, preferably in the hospitality industry (Theme Parks, Family Entertainment Centers, Hotels, Resorts, Casinos, or Restaurants)
  • Strong character and good judgment in decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional grooming and conduct
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and enthusiasm for the business
  • Ability to establish and communicate a clear vision for the park
  • Appreciation of diversity and a commitment to inclusivity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success
  • Knowledge of location-based entertainment and adventure parks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
