Job Overview This is a unique opportunity for a numbers/data/Excel savvy candidate to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. The role is a hybrid position, offering a mix of remote and in-office work, with a flexible schedule that includes 2-3 days of in-office work per week. As a Project Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department, working closely with our team of experts to ensure that our clients receive the reimbursement they are entitled to. Key Responsibilities Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process. Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards. Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and data integrity. Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Running and creating reports, analyzing data, and identifying trends to support the recovery team in their efforts. Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry tasks as needed by the recovery team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Scanning and indexing documents, ensuring that all records are accurately filed and easily accessible. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., health information management, business administration) preferred. Proven experience in data entry, medical records, or a related field, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders. Proficiency in arenaflex Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software systems and technologies. Preferred Qualifications Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., RHIT, CCA), demonstrating a commitment to professional development and excellence. Experience working in a healthcare or revenue cycle management environment, with a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and billing principles.
