Experienced Packaging & Shipping Planner Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced Packaging and Shipping Planner to join our team in SeaTac, WA. Although the requirements for this role are first shift, this position could potentially require a candidate to work a variable shift. The hours per shift include (Shift one: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), (Shift two: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.), and (Shift 3: 11:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.). This is a 24/7 operation. Position Responsibilities: Use business and information systems as required to access data to determine material characteristics. Develops packaging plans using established packaging guidelines. Coaches less experienced employees. Inputs original packaging plans into business and information systems. With minimal supervision, evaluates new materials for dangerous goods properties. Classify new materials to determine proper shipping name in accordance with applicable regulations. Assists more experienced employees to develop, test and document packaging designs for dangerous goods as required by applicable regulations and engineering specifications. Develops, maintains and reports records of packaging designs, specifications, exemptions and shipments as required by regulatory agencies. Evaluates high value hardware to develop protective packaging designs and design requirements. Provides advice on packaging to other Boeing organizations. Through participation on various committees, develop business unit policies, procedures and standards for packaging. Investigates damaged hardware for possible causes, determines and implements resolution. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping or customer service environment 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and specifications 1+ years of experience working with business and/or government processes or regulations 1+ years of experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics or Material Management Services (MMS) Experience in packing, handling, storage or transportation (PHS&T) role 1+ years of experience working with standard measuring tools such as rulers, tape measures, scales, etc. 1+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning and Supply Chain Systems; SAP, GOLD, TAMS (WOW, COPPR, TAV) 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Ability to work 2nd shift independently with flexibility to assist and correct issues?
