This dynamic 12-month placement for undergraduate students offers a unique opportunity to dive into the marketing strategies and operations behind the world’s leading entertainment company. Gain hands-on experience and be part of the teams that bring Disney’s magic to audiences across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

By undertaking a placement year in Disney Entertainment EMEA, you will contribute to marketing campaigns across iconic brands within Disney Studios (Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures) or Disney General Entertainment which includes TV brands such as ABC Entertainment, Disney Branded Television, National Geographic and the Disney+ streaming platform.

Content Sales

  • You will join the team who manage the distribution rights of Disney media content across TV networks in the EMEA region. You'll help plan and coordinate showcase events, support marketing efforts with decks and campaign analysis, asset delivery, lead internal newsletters, and stay on top of TV industry trends.

Disney+

  • Marketing: You will support the development and delivery of data-led, innovative marketing campaigns across EMEA to help drive awareness for our brand, general entertainment shows, and overall business growth. Key responsibilities include creative asset management, budget tracking, coordinating meetings, preparing presentations, and building relationships with external agencies and partners as well as internal teams such as PR, Social, Finance & Research. Roles in this remit will be across EMEA content marketing, EMEA brand marketing, UK marketing, and partnerships.

  • Growth Marketing (Retention): You will support customer sign-ups and retention by coordinating internal projects, managing campaign assets with tools like Canva and Photoshop, and collaborating cross-functionally to execute marketing campaigns for Disney+ content.

  • Growth Marketing (Acquisition): You will be coordinating with partners and agencies, managing creative assets for campaigns, especially across the Connected TV (CTV) space. Key responsibilities include project management, liaising with partners, analysing performance data, liaise with EMEA markets and overseeing CTV editorial content.

Studios

  • Creative Services: This creative role helps to deliver EMEA campaigns for all Studios brands. You’ll gain experience in strategic media planning, work with agencies on “Out of Home” (OOH) advertising like print, radio, and billboards, and support publicity events such as premieres, junkets, and expos.

  • Digital Marketing: You will support the creation of digital and social content to generate buzz for new Studios releases. You will support logistics, planning and budgeting for content creation, gaining exposure to influencer and digital marketing.

  • Digital Media & Marketing: Digital media refers to any online advertising channels, including social, digital display, video, audio, plus many more. You will be part of the team using technology and online platforms to strategise and manage paid digital advertising campaigns, with a goal to drive brand awareness and engagement for new releases.

  • Paid Media: Ideal for someone analytical who communicates well across functions, you will support the team managing Studios’ media budgets across EMEA. You’ll collaborate with media agencies and internal teams to coordinate paid advertising, and work with finance, research, PR, and creative teams.

  • Partnerships: You will participate in the planning and implementation of strategic marketing partnerships with external brands for new Studios releases. You will take part in ideation sessions, preparing pitch lists, and creating pitch materials to help identify, secure, and manage partnerships related to new releases.

  • Theatrical Marketing: You will support UK film campaigns for all Studios brands, organising meetings, managing campaign materials, coordinating exhibitor screenings, tracking budgets, and helping to secure trailer placements in cinemas across the UK.

  • Transactional Marketing: This team manages digital distribution for Disney content on platforms like Apple, Virgin Media, Amazon, and Google Play. You will gain insight into the Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) lifecycle, support marketing across EMEA, and help coordinate influencer and exclusive screening events.

  • Searchlight Pictures: You will support the brand team in delivering successful film marketing campaigns across the UK and EMEA, for the specialist film studio known for unique, often award-winning films such as A Complete Unknown, Poor Things, The Banshees of Inisherin, Nomadland, The Shape Of Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.

Working within any of these teams will provide you with a brilliant foundation in Marketing as well as insight into the world-class Disney Entertainment business.

This is an office-based internship. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

Eligibility

  • Must be a second-year undergraduate student on a placement year course returning to study in Autumn 2027

  • Must have the right to work in the UK already in place

  • Available to start working full time from June 2026

  • Interested in the area you are applying for, whether this is through your studies, experiences, extracurricular activities or a general interest

  • Strong MS Office skills, Canva experience desirable
