Internship opportunity in FP&A & Business Operations at Tesla, offering hands-on experience in financial planning, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Work full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks during Summer 2026, starting May/June through August.
  • Be assigned to one of several subgroups including Financial Planning & Analysis, Engineering Finance, Manufacturing Finance, Energy Products Finance, or Sales, Marketing and Service Finance based on experience and interests.
  • Support Tesla’s P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting processes and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and track initiatives to improve gross margin, cash flow, and long-term planning including new products and capital needs.
  • Manage R&D investments, profit improvement, cost targets, and manufacturing investments depending on subgroup placement.
  • Lead pricing efforts, profitability analysis, and business planning for various Tesla business units.
  • Analyze data, provide recommendations, and assist in cross-functional decision-making and implementation.

About You

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional ability to work in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • International students must confirm ability to work 40 hours per week under CPT before applying.

  • Hourly pay range: $36.06 - $50.48 plus benefits.
