We are seeking a full-time Neurosurgeon to join a hospital-based practice in McAllen/Edinburg, Texas. • Schedule / Hours: Standard clinical and surgical hours with shared call coverage
• Call: Shared call with other local neurosurgeons
• Patient Volume: Busy neurosurgery practice with diverse case mix
• Location: McAllen/Edinburg, Texas (Rio Grande Valley)
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based neurosurgery group within South Texas Health System (STHS)
• Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, APPs, and support staff
• EMR / Technology: Cerner electronic medical record system

 

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive neurosurgical care including cranial and spinal procedures to adult and pediatric patients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver optimal outcomes
• Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical cases and shared call responsibilities
• Document all patient care efficiently using Cerner EMR

Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Active or eligible Texas medical license
• Experience in cranial and spinal neurosurgery required
