Apply via Dice today!<br><br><strong>Fully Remote Role : The Credit Risk Analyst /Python/ACL/Banking<br><br>Duration 12 Months<br><br></strong><strong>They will focus on Credit and/or accounting background and experience, baseline understanding of the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL)</strong> and <strong>Python Coding experience in data analysis and credit model execution</strong>.<br><br><strong>Job Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Execute quarterly production of the allowance for credit losses, independently managing assigned workflow, in accordance with established methodology and SOX framework. </li><li>Analyze key drivers of changes in the ACL, including rate/volume, economic forecast, and credit mix, solutioning unintuitive drivers.</li><li>Collaborate with Credit function and other key stakeholders to propose, develop and document qualitative adjustments.</li><li>Develop and/or maintain supporting ACL documentation, including working group materials, quarterly governance materials, ad-hoc documentation and analyses, and financial disclosures and regulatory reports.</li><li>Support communication of results and other ACL related matters to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Support execution of internal strategic initiatives for effective implementation into ACL Program.</li><li>Maintains knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulatory guidance related to Current Expected Credit Losses, as well as credit risk factors impacting the loan and lease portfolio.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Accountabilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.</li><li>Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Requirements<br><br></strong>Required Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li>Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).</li><li>Minimum experience required: 2+ Years in credit risk management, accounting, or related experience.</li><li>Proficient in Python.<br><br></li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li>Knowledge of CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss).</li><li>Experience in mid-size and large financial institutions.</li><li>Experience with Alteryx platform.<br><br></li></ul>Job Competencies:<br><br><ul><li>Basic knowledge of financial analysis and financial forecasting. </li><li>Knowledge of data querying languages and software.</li><li>Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.</li><li>Professional writing skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Proven ability to independently manage assigned workflows, collaborate with various individuals, and deliver on commitments.</li></ul>
