About the position

The Generated Gases Maintenance Planner at Air Products is responsible for leading maintenance activities and outages at small plants producing nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and other bulk gases. This role involves developing work scopes, estimating costs, and ensuring safety and efficiency in maintenance operations. The planner collaborates with various stakeholders and tracks performance measures related to safety, reliability, and budget compliance. The position requires travel 25-40% of the time across Texas, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania, and reports to the TAR Manager, North America.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance activities and outages at Air Products' small plants.
  • Develop work scopes and estimate costs related to labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with site personnel, contracted crafts, equipment suppliers, and engineering teams.
  • Track and provide updates on the progress of maintenance schedules.
  • Enforce disciplined Materials Management practices for spare parts.
  • Drive safety in execution activities and assign responsibilities for safety programs.
  • Maintain communication between operations and maintenance technicians to prioritize jobs.
  • Assist in scheduling maintenance and operations resources with the regional capital projects group.
  • Track PM compliance and drive the team to meet compliance goals of 100%.
  • Assist operations in generating M5 notifications and maintaining accurate outage worklists.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance in an industrial setting.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organized and able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of standards outlined by Air Products and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business software, including SAP and Primavera P6.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP and Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Availability to take calls after hours and weekends for emergency coordination.
