<p><span><strong>This Opportunity</strong></span></p><p><span>WSP is currently initiating a search for a <strong>Generation Project Development Leader</strong>. This is a national role that can be based in any WSP USA office location. </span></p><p><br><span>WSP USA has an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in WSP's Power & Energy engineering team, fully realizing the value of the combined Power Engineers and WSP team and continuing to expand our impact across the US market. This is an operational role responsible for team engagement, business growth, and performance with market sector focus on supporting our customers through the concept and development phases of their projects – specifically, Owner’s Engineering and other similar consultative scopes. The responsibilities for this role encompass all types of generation – inclusive of thermal and renewable infrastructure.</span></p><p><span>Key objectives for this role will include: </span></p><ul><li><span>Create and deploy a plan to drive greater value from key customers including potential for growth in portfolio-level Owner’s Engineers scopes or other repeatable/programmic work.</span></li><li><span>Ideate, define, and deliver plans to support key tactical activities to support growth.</span></li><li><span>Along with Business Development teams and the Global Client Program (GCP) goals, support a strong focus on key customers and opportunities that create the greatest value.</span></li><li><span>Alongside Business Development, listen to customers to understand their needs and formulate WSP teams to provide solutions they require in a responsive manner. In order to provide holistic solutions that complement Generations’ core domain knowledge, the leader would draw from key resources across P&E and other WSP businesses (including internationally as needed) to prepare these solutions (e.g. interconnection and transmission studies, environmental due diligence, geotechnical support, planning).</span></li><li><span>While team staff is expected to be base loaded with Generation’s existing core detailed engineering staff, key hires will be needed with sufficient development experience needed to be effective in a dynamic environment.</span></li><li><span>Where appropriate, guide select opportunities to position for conversion of Owner’s Engineering projects to detailed engineering.</span></li><li><span>Manage existing team delivering Independent Engineering scopes. Coordinate growth for this offering in consultation with the Advisory business line.</span></li></ul>
