Labcorp has a great opportunity for a lab based Genetic Counselor to join its team! This is a position perfect for an organized, thorough, energetic Board Certified/Active Status for ABGC Genetic Counselor who is interested in genetics, client services, laboratory operations and business. The Genetic Counselor will consult and coordinate with clients and laboratory personnel regarding genetic tests performed by Labcorp Genetic & Women’s Health and reference laboratories. Please note: this is not a patient facing role. This is a remote-based position, supporting molecular, genomic, and biochemical genetic testing performed primarily at Labcorp’s facility in Research Triangle Park, NC. Candidate can be located anywhere in the US, however must be able to work East Coast hours. The schedule for this position will be: -During training for the first few months: 9am-5:30pm eastern time zone -After training: Schedule is flexible. Start time can be between 8am-10am eastern time zone Responsibilities: • Provide molecular, genomic, and biochemical genetic testing expertise and support to clients/health care providers regarding test selection, test performance, and laboratory processes • Review incoming fetal specimens to ensure that appropriate testing has been ordered and that essential information about the patient has been provided • Coordinate molecular, genomic, and biochemical testing for clients including send-out and reporting of results • Communicate abnormal test results to health care professionals and provide recommendations for appropriate follow-up • Provide active guidance to clients, lab support staff and sales team through ongoing informal education, case conference presentations, and client in-services • Collaborate on publications, product launches, marketing pieces and other projects as opportunities arise Requirements: • MS in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling • ABGC/ABMG certification or active candidate status required • Previous Genetic Counseling experience preferred (post completion of Masters program) • Previous Prenatal and/or Lab Genetic Counseling experience highly desired (post completion of Masters program) • Highly organized, including excellent time management skills • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral • Strong computer skills; proficiency with arenaflex Office Application Deadline: 8/12/2025 • *Salary Range: $82,000 - $115,000 per year All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
