As the Head of National Education Partnerships at Clever, you will create the blueprint to grow our business by partnering with national and regional organizations and key U.S. K12 school districts. You’ll develop a vision for how these education partnerships can advance our mission and grow our business, and you’ll work with Sales, Success, and Marketing teams to bring that vision to life. The role requires deep experience in education and relationships at the executive level with industry organizations, government agencies, and large school districts. It will contribute to our growing revenue by deepening relationships and preference for Clever among education leaders and key decision makers.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Develop a vision for education partnerships along with strategy and recommendations to leadership based on your analysis
  • Grow relationships with leadership, IT, and curriculum executives in school districts along with associations and relevant government entities; develop programs that advance our mutual objectives
  • Initiate consultative engagements with district and education leaders, increasing the awareness and understanding of Clever technology
  • Contribute to the development of state and regional strategies, working alongside customer and marketing teams
  • Conceptualize and develop analytical frameworks, implementation strategies and recommendations to help district customers meet their goals
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success on strategic planning for key district accounts
  • Be a source of customer insight that’s relevant for product direction, market positioning, and content
  • Use your strong understanding of K12 education and the edtech ecosystem to contribute to go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging
  • Bring together school leaders and experts for compelling thought leadership events and executive discussions
  • Contribute to the vision and direction for thought leadership at Clever; serve as a speaker and spokesperson at key events and for media

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 10+ experience in sales and/or partnerships for an edtech company
  • Deep knowledge of the K12 education landscape including government and industry associations
  • Previous experience working as a school district technology executive preferred
  • Proven track record in establishing and developing school district partnerships with measurable business impact
  • Results-oriented with an entrepreneurial drive to build our business
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically about business opportunities with strategic partners
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:

The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $200,000 - $220,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between is $220,000 - 242,000. This position also offers a commission target, variable or annual bonus incentive. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
