Role Description

We are seeking a Medical Remote Professional to provide administrative, clinical, and operational support to healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical virtual assistance, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. You will be responsible for managing patient data, scheduling appointments, assisting with billing and insurance processes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, all while working remotely.

  • Patient Intake and Records Management:
    • Document new patient information and referrals accurately.
    • Maintain patient data, medical records (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and billing information in EMR/EHR systems.
    • Coordinate the sending and receiving of medical records with healthcare providers and departments.
  • Appointment Management:
    • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as required.
    • Assist patients with inquiries regarding appointments and direct them to appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Insurance and Billing Support:
    • Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
    • Handle billing inquiries, documentations, and related follow-ups.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing healthcare reports and maintaining accurate records.
    • Analyze healthcare data as directed and provide insights to management.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality:
    • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Support ad hoc administrative and healthcare-related tasks as assigned.
    • Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to EMR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical, healthcare, or pharmaceutical-related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or similar role.
  • Proficient in EMR/EHR systems with technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1 or higher).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with cloud services, VoIP, and remote systems.
  • Willingness to work during US business hours.

Requirements

  • USB headset with noise-cancellation.
  • Working webcam.
  • Main and backup computers (minimum 1.8 GHz processor, 4GB RAM).
