Role Description

The System VP/Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) for Care Transformation and Population Health is a physician leader responsible for providing strategic clinical leadership and informatics expertise to drive the development, implementation, and optimization of technology-enabled solutions that transform care delivery across the health system.

  • Focus on leveraging technology to support innovative care models, expand access to care through telehealth, and improve population health outcomes.
  • Serve as a key liaison between clinical stakeholders, IT, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure that clinical perspectives are integrated into all technology-related decisions.
  • Support the evolving needs of the organization in care transformation, telehealth, and population health management.

Qualifications

  • Doctor Of Medicine. Medical Degree (MD or DO) required.
  • Master's degree in Medical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a leadership role in clinical informatics.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing clinical information system implementations, particularly in telehealth and population health settings.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and population health management tools.
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute a system-wide clinical informatics strategy aligned with care transformation, telehealth, and population health initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and champion the adoption of emerging technologies and innovative care delivery models.
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical decision support tools and remote patient monitoring programs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies for telehealth expansion.
  • Champion the use of data analytics and reporting to monitor clinical performance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive telehealth strategy.

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to improve population health outcomes.
  • Actively participate in and lead clinical informatics aspects of care transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure clinical technologies are aligned with program and regulatory requirements of value-based care models.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clinical stakeholders regarding clinical information systems.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between clinical and IT teams.
  • Lead and participate in clinical informatics committees and workgroups.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of clinical data within the organization's information systems.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  • Promote the use of standardized terminologies and coding systems.
  • Promote and support research and innovation in clinical informatics, telehealth, and population health.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve patient engagement and satisfaction.
