About the position

The position is focused on increasing business revenue by processing and satisfying customer orders and quotation requests. The role involves maintaining margin targets and enhancing profitability through building relationship value and leveraging a consultative selling process. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales goals and targets, expanding the customer base, and utilizing market knowledge to generate new opportunities. The work environment is comfortable, primarily indoor, with minimal unpleasant conditions and occasional light lifting. The position requires less than 10% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves sales goals and targets using acceptable business practices and tools.
  • Delivers and expands business revenue and customer base by prospecting, developing, and maintaining positive relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Utilizes market and industry knowledge to generate new opportunities, assist customers in forecasting needs, and developing quotes.
  • Enters and fulfills orders, manages inventory and projects, and obtains the highest return on investment (ROI) through innovative solutions.
  • Achieves and maintains sales, margin, and profitability targets leveraging consultative selling process, HD Supply business practices and tools.
  • Negotiates fiscally advantageous volume/discount tradeoffs through knowledge of market pricing elasticity.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3+ years of sales, B2B, account management experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting.
  • Organizational skills & Professional phone etiquette.
  • Comfortable in an Inbound / Outbound Phone Call environment.
  • Independent and Accountable Self Starter.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote / hybrid position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
  • Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.
