Instructor Allied Health - RN License Required

Other Jobs To Apply

No other job posts for this day.

This is perfect for someone who wants to help students in the very beginning of their medical journey. We are the first step a student takes who want to enter the medical field.

(Since this is an instructor position at a small, allied health school we cannot offer the same hourly rate as an RN working in a medical facility - this is strictly an instructor position in a mom-and-pop environment)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant classroom lessons to students while adhering to BPSS standards. New York's Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) oversees and monitors non-degree granting proprietary schools in New York. The Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision is part of the New York State Education Department.

We need to stress that you will NOT be performing any nursing skills on patients - you are instructing a prewritten lesson plan to the student during their classroom hours.

This is a part time position however our last few part time employees have loved it so much they asked if we had availability for more consistent work as a full-time instructor. All Full-time employees will be entitled to health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and have 401K options.

Responsibilities
• Monitor students from the approved BPSS clinical curriculum in the following course subjects: Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide (HHA is approved in English & Spanish)
• Keep immaculate records for each student
• Work hand in hand with the Director of Education and the Director of Student Services
• Provide compassionate education and understand not every student is at the same learning level

Qualifications
• Must be a RN
• Must have at least 2 years' experience
• Great with paperwork
• Must have patience and work well with people
• We will help you gain a NY BPSS Teachers License which is a requirement of this position.
• Team player

**Please note the rate of pay and hours before applying to this position**

We are hiring for 2 schedules:
Saturday & Sunday 9am-4pm
and also
Monday - Thursday 9am-4pm
Please let us know which schedule you would prefer in the application notes

DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ANYONE FROM THE SCHOOL DIRECTLY
