About the position Extreme Networks is seeking an intern to support the Venues, Sports & Entertainment sales teams. This team is responsible for driving new business, as well as building and maintaining customer loyalty in a key segment of Extreme's customer base. As a member of the team, the intern will interact with various cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and channels to help drive our go-to-market strategy and support some of our top initiatives. Responsibilities • Assist in representing our Wired/Wireless Data Networking, Network Management, and Security solutions. • Support the sales team in growing revenue and profit margins within the assigned territory. • Help prospect new business while supporting the growth of the existing install base. • Participate in business planning and reporting activities (e.g., monthly forecasts, pipeline development). • Develop relationships with cross-functional teams. Requirements • Skilled at using arenaflex Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Strong communication skills and a good understanding of sales and business development principles. • Basic understanding of business planning and forecasting. • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with some direction. • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships. • Basic knowledge of the networking industry and competitive landscape is a plus. • Eagerness to learn and grow in a sales environment.
