IT Applications Developer ServiceNow - $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Remote Arizona

Under the direction of Leadership, the IT Applications Developer is engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle which includes the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance of HonorHealth's enterprise applications. IT Applications Developer will participate in design meetings and consult with business clients to refine, test, and debug programs to meet business needs. This position will interact and direct third-party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives. The IT Applications Developer will understand software architectural standards and design principles. Must be able to work both independently and as a productive member of a project team. This role necessitates a higher level of creativity and innovative thinking resulting in advanced customer solutions. The position requires the candidate to work closely with key client stakeholders and senior technology leaders. The IT Applications Developer is responsible to understand and conform to HonorHealth's project and change management methodologies and may be responsible for leading low to moderate complexity projects leveraging this framework. In addition, this position requires an on-call rotation facilitating off hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates fundamental programming skills for the development, manipulation and/or implementation of source code for new and existing applications. Responsible for quality assurance and review of source code modification and/or development prior to implementation to ensure safe, efficient and stable code. Ability to define business requirements and translate them into appropriate software solutions that meet the customer’s needs. Demonstrates strategic thinking around application enhancement and development within HonorHealth. Supports the use and expansion of existing platforms. Has a solid understanding and follows industry standards for software development lifecycle.
  • Adheres to department standards around teamwork, collaboration, professionalism and leadership. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method. Acts as liaison between work teams and departments. Ability to independently prioritize and manage individual workload with minimal assistance. Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs.
  • Follows the established project management, change management, and documentation policies and procedures for maintenance, requests and new initiatives. Will lead low to moderate complexity projects as assigned. Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives. Understands and follows change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system development and changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with HonorHealth policies and procedures in addition to the Mission, Vision and Values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline or four (4) years equivalent experience
  • 5 years of healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding in prioritizing multiple complex projects; balancing project deliverables while supporting daily operational tasks to maintain system stability. Knowledge of: C++/object oriented programs LDAP, SSO or Active Directory Azure, AWS Django Web Service API experience using REST, SOAP and In-Bound Actions Open Source Technologies - Preferred
  • Other Minimum three (3) years programming experience in one of the following coding/scripting languages: C, C++, Python, Java with a desire to learn more. - Required
  • ServiceNow experience required
  • Remote, but must reside in Arizona
