JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking Japanese-speaking Administrative & Research Assistants to support multiple international-related departments in our NYC office.
This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a career in international business, research, and office administration.

Entry-level candidates are welcome.
Training is provided, and we will match you with the best-suited position based on your skills and background.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be considered for one of several assistant roles, including:

Administrative Support

  • Schedule management and office coordination
  • Phone and email communication in English and Japanese
  • Document creation (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Visitor support and meeting preparation

Research Support

  • Collecting and summarizing economic/political information across North & South America
  • Organizing data and preparing research materials
  • Assisting with report drafting and presentations

Accounting / Operational Support

  • Expense reimbursement, travel forms, basic accounting documentation

Project & Event Support

  • Supporting seminars, meetings, and matching events
  • Coordinating interviews, preparing minutes
  • Communicating with external partners and vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Japanese language proficiency REQUIRED (reading, writing, and communication)
  • English proficiency (business-level)
  • Entry level welcome; admin or research experience is a plus
  • Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to handle both research and administrative tasks
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Interest in international fields is a plus

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour break)
  • Hybrid: 3 days in office + up to 2 days remote
  • Monday–Friday (no weekends/holidays)

LOCATION

  • Manhattan, New York, NY
  • Hybrid work available

PAY

  • $26/hr DOE

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

  • Full-time, contract (1-year contract; extension possible)
