Job Description:

  • Analyzing investment data, making detailed inferences or attributions
  • Assessing complex financial models for opportunities to make efficiency improvements
  • Using the latest technology tools—including AI coding tools and agents—to improve the efficiency and/or reduce the complexity of Excel workflows
  • Writing code that ingests and exports data to/from Excel and databases
  • Translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for usage on a website application
  • Learning to use Azure Data Factory (ADF) to extract, transform, and load data
  • Adding various time-saving and helpful features to our family of .NET Core website applications

Requirements:

  • 0 to 3 years experience
  • Strong background and familiarity with at least one type of real estate equity and/or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS, and/or whole loan trading
  • Writing code in an object-oriented coding language
  • Manipulating various type of database data using SQL
  • Working with complex Excel workbooks
  • Strong user of T-SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL
  • Willing to primarily use Microsoft T-SQL
  • Preferred: A college degree or higher in a STEM field
  • Master’s degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
  • Candidates with a combination of strong technology skills and deep finance knowledge
  • Any experience with web development would be favored but is not required
  • Willingness to adopt the latest and greatest in AI technology
