WMS & DC Systems Engineering Team is responsible for architecting, designing, and developing mission‑critical applications supporting Warehouse Management and Distribution Center operations. The team leads end‑to‑end engineering efforts within the JDA/Blue Yonder WMS ecosystem, delivering scalable, high‑quality solutions that streamline retail logistics and supply chain operations. This team works closely with Solution Architects, vendors, cross‑functional IT groups, and DC operations to convert business requirements into robust software solutions. Engineers in this group are hands‑on developers with deep expertise in WMS, DC automation, system integrations, and retail logistics processes. They drive technical design, ensure adherence to SDLC and coding standards, mentor developers, support continuous improvement, and provide strong engineering leadership across large-scale initiatives.

As Lead Engineer - WMS & DC Systems, you'll be driving the technical design and development of mission-critical warehouse management and distribution center systems that power Sephora's supply chain. What You'll Do:

Lead Technical Solution Design. Partner with Solution Architects, product teams, and operations stakeholders to design and deliver scalable, high-performance applications within JDA/Blue Yonder WMS and DC systems that support business growth.

Drive Hands-On Development. Serve as a hands-on engineering lead, directly contributing to software development and coding activities while establishing coding standards and ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with engineering guidelines.

Architect System Integrations. Design and implement robust integrations with DC automation systems, including WES, pick-to-light systems, goods-to-person technologies, and AutoStore solutions.

Provide Technical Leadership. Lead development efforts for large-scale initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and define integration patterns and interface specifications.

Champion Continuous Improvement. Support Application Run/Support teams by providing technical guidance to drive system stability, enhancements, and performance improvements across warehouse management platforms.

Optimize System Performance. Diagnose and resolve system performance issues, collaborating with DBA and development teams to implement effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

What You'll Bring:

Deep WMS Expertise. 10+ years of retail and WMS system experience with strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, specifically JDA 2020 WMS (Blue Yonder), including proven experience in design, development, and customizations.

Technical Proficiency. Strong coding skills in MOCA, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Jasper reports, Groovy, Page Builder, and integration technologies, with the ability to deliver robust, scalable code.

Distribution Center Knowledge. Extensive understanding of DC operational processes and workflows, including picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and experience integrating with DC automation systems.

Retail & Logistics Acumen. Solid understanding of retail business processes and end-to-end logistics operations, with 5+ years of experience in distribution center processes and supporting systems.

Educational Foundation. Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, with Blue Yonder JDA WMS certification preferred.

Communication Excellence. Superior attention to detail, strong follow-up skills, and highly effective oral and written communication abilities with a results-oriented approach.

What You’ll Get:

The annual base salary range for this position is $178,380.00 - $198,200.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
