Growing together.<br> <br> The Lead Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily duties of assigned staff within a designated department. Provides guidance and training to assigned staff responsible for admitting, registering, scheduling, and verifying patient insurance policies. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.<br> <br> This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.<br> <br> We offer on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am - 5:00pm MST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite and will go remote after.<br> <br> If you are located within 30 miles to our office at 303 Roma Avenue NW, 5th floor, Albuquerque, NM 87102, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.<br> <br> <strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Leads and oversees the daily duties and workflow of assigned staff within a designated department. Assists the manager/supervisor with special projects with a defined timeline for completion and order supplies for department. Liaison between PCC, PWC, manager/supervisor, providers and support staff. Assist managers in preparing the department for regulatory and/or internal inspections</li><li>Provides guidance and training to assigned staff responsible for all aspects of admitting, registering, scheduling and verifying patient insurance policies. Super User trainer. Coaching other Schedule Coordinators in completing assignments. Assist the manager/supervisor in training teammates on departmental policies & procedures and participate in the interview process for PWC candidates</li><li>Participates and attends professional meetings. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety</li><li>Conduct PWC meetings for purposes of training</li><li>Effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge with the staff across the department</li><li>Assists with managing PWC Ques</li><li>The ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards</li><li>Analyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met</li><li>Obtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner: assigning FSC (Financial Class) entering benefits and all other related activities i.e. transfers, demographic data changes in IDX</li><li>Registers patients in IDX including updating patient demographics, current insurance information, current primary care provider, emergency contacts, and all relevant fields</li><li>Uses appropriate text templates in the electronic health record, tasks clinic teammates using the electronic health record, and ability to multitask between business office systems and the electronic health record</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.<br> <br> <strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience</li><li>Must be 18 years of age OR older</li><li>1+ years of related customer service experience in the administration, medical, OR scheduling field</li><li>1+ years of related healthcare experience to include scheduling experience and verification of eligibility and benefits</li><li>Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)</li><li>Knowledge of Medical Terminology</li><li>Ability to work Monday - Friday, during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm MST</li></ul><p>Telecommuting Requirements: </p><ul><li>Reside within 30 miles to the office at 303 Roma Avenue NW, 5th floor, Albuquerque, NM 87102</li><li>Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)</li><li>Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy</li><li>Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to problem-solve</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li><li>Excellent writing and verbal skills</li><li>Organized and detail oriented</li></ul><p>*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy<br> <br> The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
