Job Description:

Lucero, the premier rooftop dining destination at Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As an experienced Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with Lucero’s standards. This position focuses on dinner service, requiring expertise in evening culinary operations.

 

This is a PM shift, Tuesday thru Saturday.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Chef de Cuisine, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies for dinner service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking.
  • Execute precise knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
  • Monitor food quality while cooking and ensure proper seasoning and presentation.
  • Work efficiently to manage time and resources during busy dinner shifts.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Present a calm demeanor and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work PM shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

 

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
