MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
(JFK Airport)
Starting Pay: $28.32/hr.

Job Duties:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, evaporator coolers, condensers, and HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot and maintain plumbing fixtures, electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and sanitation equipment
• Maintain and repair cooking and production equipment including convection ovens, tilt skillets, fryers, ranges, flat tops, mixers, heat •sealers, and dish machines
• Document repair history and track equipment inventory using a work‑order system
• Procure materials, coordinate repair timelines, and manage related costs
• Follow safety protocols when working with high- and low-voltage electrical equipment
• Communicate with manufacturers and vendors for specialized repair needs
• Work in varying temperatures and remain on foot for extended periods
• Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in refrigeration, kitchen equipment maintenance, or a related field
• Knowledge of refrigeration and electrical systems
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications preferred (not required)
• Ability to lift, carry, move, push, or pull equipment as needed
• Ability to work independently or under supervision
• Proficient with laptops and phones for email, messaging, calls, and work‑order systems
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Open to occasional domestic or international travel
