Connect to your opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to work as in-house legal counsel and risk manager within Deloitte's Technology & Transformation business to support contractual and commercial deals which will require experience of leading/supporting negotiations within the consulting, advisory and technology & AI space. We have an opportunity in our team of more than 20 commercial/technology lawyers to support our growing T&T business, for a lawyer at Manager level with technology experience. You will deliver high-quality, business-focused solutions in a challenging, dynamic and demanding marketplace - you will be a strategic legal and risk advisor and partner directly with our business and are expected to assess and understand how business risks can be managed and mitigated, whilst advising on a range of legal issues and contracts. Your role will involve: • Supporting with a view to leading negotiations for material complex consulting and technology-based contracts, including regularly facing off with client legal teams and their external counsel • Advising our Business on potential risks and challenges in relation to opportunities and engagement as they arise • Providing support to our business during the sales cycle from supporting the engagement teams with their responses to tenders and bid response development to negotiating contracts for services. • Review and negotiation of engagement contracts across Technology & Transformation and MSAs/framework agreements including leading direct discussion with clients and their legal advisors. • Working closely with the business to discuss and develop commercial offerings to client as we move to a more innovative way of pricing our services e.g. risk/reward deals, value based billing. • Drafting and negotiating ancillary commercial contracts, including alliance agreements, product/asset licences, engagement letters, sub-contracts and teaming agreements • Co-ordinating with other functions within Deloitte and globally on risk management matters (e.g. data privacy, security, compliance) • Developing practical commercial solutions and risk mitigation strategies for Deloitte's business and client service teams - enabling them to provide excellent client service while managing Deloitte's risk • Advising Deloitte's partners and practitioners on general legal and risk management issues, based on an understanding and appreciation of the key business risks that need to be managed • Embracing and supporting the adoption of Generative AI across the team AI as part of the QRS Legal transformation activities Connect to your skills and professional experience "Our lawyers are strategic, innovative commercial advisors" . Essential Experience • We are seeking a qualified lawyer (or individuals with similar experience) with proven in-house experience in negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts and professional service framework agreements. • Experience of contracting for the use of AI tools/products as part of delivery projects • In-house experience with a technology or consulting business • Use of AI tools to accelerate and support day to day workload and functions • Ability to manage a demanding workload effectively and to be both proactive and responsive • Experience of dealing with and managing senior and multiple stakeholders • Strong PMO skills to drive negotiation teams (and collate SME input) which you will lead to close deals in a timely fashion to give us competitive edge Connect to your business - Enabling Functions Collaboration is central to everything we do at Deloitte.
