Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Information Systems Engineer Manager (Level 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Georgia, USA.

In this role, you will act as a Control Account Manager (CAM), managing information system functions for planning, optimization, configuration, and integration of diverse Information Technology (IT) disciplines. You will also manage one or more information systems functions for a specific user group/functional area for a site, or potentially the entire organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis, selection and modification of application software, network and desk top solutions, RF Communications, and specialized IT weapons systems.
  • Installation of network hardware and software, database management and integrity.
  • Being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for practical application of system characteristics.
  • Coordinate delivery of services to user groups and ensure IT service is uninterrupted.
  • Manage, operate, and sustain complex IT systems to the customer.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation.
  • Maintain a trained and ready staff capable of working across programs to provide surge support as necessary.
  • Leveraging the required experience and practical application of diverse IT solutions, operations, Configuration Management and data documentation.


You will also need to be familiar with preparing proposals and Bases of Estimates and managing a Statement of Work (SOW). Additionally, you will need to interpret the SOW to find the most effective and efficient way to assist customers in finding solutions, both common and innovative. This will require you to coordinate and collaborate with customers, peer group managers, and other stakeholders. You will also be responsible for developing training and career development pathways for assigned staff. As part of this you will prepare and standardize processes to improve how we do business and train staff to do the same.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND at least 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Information Technology, OR a Masters degree of Science AND at least 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Information Technology.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Third Class Flight Physical Certification.
  • Must attain and maintain DoDI 8570 certification if offer of employment is extended.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays and weekends.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
