About the position

The Key Account Manager is responsible for the execution of account strategy and overall retail account management to build profitability and grow market share. This individual will maintain strong relationships with senior management across retail partners and effectively negotiate for space, location, exposure, margin, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for retail and net sales goals for assigned retailer accounts
  • Manage the overall and individual P&L for all assigned retailer and wholesale accounts
  • Support in buy negotiations in partnership with National Account Leads
  • Oversee strategy and execution for topline stock levels ensuring an appropriate product mix of stock is available in stores
  • Timely ordering
  • Monitoring and addressing low/out of stock situations
  • Control and update stock and sales plans, product, and GWP returns
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts and plans for both B&M and COM
  • Analyze, define, and fuel relevant growth levers leveraging a customer-centric approach
  • Partner with the CGO Commercial Planning team and BU Business Development O+O team
  • Partner with cross functional teams (e.g. marketing, sales operations, finance, demand planning, education, field, etc.) on building account-specific plans to maximize market share
  • Establish and contribute to a positive, collaborative, respectful team culture and environment where individuals feel inspired and motivated and the result is a high performing team
  • Maintain account calendar of activities/events

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines
  • Uses knowledge of internal business issues to improve practices and procedures
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Analytical and creative in approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems
  • Financial acumen with P&L and budget management experience
  • Entrepreneurial risk mentality and innovative management skills
  • Proven ability to develop strategic goals, drive company sales, and achieve profit objectives
  • Robust negotiation skills
