About the position

Drive innovation in nuclear energy. We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead complex engineering projects, solve challenging problems, and deliver solutions that matter. Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering problems and establish performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science.
  • Collaborate with project teams to set priorities and assess impacts across disciplines.
  • Provide effective solutions and define deliverables to meet client needs.
  • Review and approve complex calculations and design deliverables.
  • Recommend resources and special equipment to optimize project execution.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience, ideally supporting nuclear power plant design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical design.
  • Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant design.
  • Experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards and Engineering Change Control processes.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and interface effectively with station customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing in the nuclear industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with client processes in nuclear power generation utilities.
